Liveplayrock about this #challenge says:
The clean sound of the Marshall jcm 800, although not famous for its crystal clear sounds, if well adjusted can give strong emotions … Often the use of a compressor in front (in the pre zone) helps to bring out a sound that is more playable with the kemper !
The crunch is already starting to bring out the best of the head, up to the sounds where the Jcm 800 made history: the distortion and the lead rock sound!
The Friedman BE 100‘s clean is more manageable even though it has a different starting tone than the JCM 800.
When we enter the crunch, distortion and lead zone, Friedman also brings out the best of itself …. it’s different than a JCM800 but equally powerful and incisive!
In my opinion the winner is the Friedman BE 100 as far as personal taste on the distortion range is concerned …. But personally I would like to have both in my collection … to rock, they are both SPECTACULAR and DIFFERENT.
Seeing is believing!
